(This is a page I made for our wedding book.)
Questions:
- Do photos equal guilt to you?
- Do you wish you had time to scrapbook, but you find it more of a chore than a hobby?
- Have you been trying to figure out what you can do with your photos besides just keeping your digital photos held hostage on your computer’s hardrive or printed photos in a shoebox?
- Do you wonder how to keep your digital photos safe and not worry about a computer crash erasing all your precious memories?
- Would you like to have your printed photos turned into beautiful, crisp, clear digital photos so you can easily share them with family and friends?
- Would you like to have a creative hobby that your descendants will really enjoy and cherish?
Answer: I’m here to help!
My name is Delanae Lindstrom and I have been a Digital Scrapbooker for many years. I’ve been a Traditional Scrapbooker even longer.
I no longer do traditional scrapbooking? Why? Well I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of STUFF! I had albums, papers, decorative scissors, trimmers, stickers, pens, extra pages, page protectors. Whew! And that’s just the basics. Every time I wanted to scrap I lost my motivation from digging everything out. So? My photos would end up in a box and I felt amazing guilt that I had spent so much money on stuff I didn’t use. Does this sound familiar?
Don’t get me wrong, if you love traditional scrapbooking, I am actually pleased for you. I cater to those people who got frustrated and show them a different way that still allows them creative liberty.
If you would like to explore the Digital Scrapbooking Craze but you have no idea where to start, I’m here to help you sort out your options.
I have two ways to teach you.
- Either online via video instructions.
- I can teach you one on one if you are in the Seattle area.
I love the Heritage Makers system. And while I am no longer a Heritage Makers Consultant, to me, there is no better way to preserve my families memories than through a Heritage Makers storybook. A very good friend of mine still is a Heritage Makers Consultant and we could get you set up through her, but I’m still available to teach you the system, if you need a little more hand holding.
To navigate this site, look towards the upper right corner of this page and you will find my Blog and places where you can find the Online Class Schedule and soon I will have my own video classes posted here. I welcome you to click around the links on the top right and if you don’t find what you need, or if you have any questions, please contact me. My contact information is at the bottom of every page.
So how much is it?
For the Premier Account through Heritage Makers, it’s just $24.95 the first month and $19.95 a month after that as long as you auto renew. This gets you unlimited Photo Storage for high resolution photos (up to 10 MB each photo) and you get access to over $3,000 worth of digital art. You get to use the amazing software for free too.
What do you get besides my lessons? |
||
| Heirloom Assurance (Your book can be replaced for half price if it gets ruined.) | ||
| High Resolution Photo Upload and Download (Up to 10 MP 4600 x 4600) | ||

Important note: If you already have a Heritage Makers Independent Consultant, you should ask them to teach you this system. If they are unable for whatever reason, then I will take you on as a teaching client only and my hourly charge is $25 per hour. A lot of Heritage Makers Consultants do teach you the system, but if for some reason they are unable, then my service is available.
I love to help people preserve their photos and stories via Digital Scrapbooking. Some people need help getting started and I can help them with a very affordable option that’s easy to learn.
Our goal is to design pages that you can either print out and put in your current scrapbooks (I have a product line of Scrapbooks as well) or you can put your pages in a library quality, professionally bound book. This is how I make all my scrapbooks now. You can’t beat the quality or the price.
You can also make posters, cards and calendars.
Sure you can learn Digital Scrapbooking on your own, but I’m the kind of person that it’s just easier if I have one on one instruction or someone right there next to me saying, “Do it like this and it will work.” However, I didn’t have that kind of help. I have spent years hacking and figureing this stuff out on my own. I could have learned it so much faster if I would have had actual lessons. So? When you see a void, fill it.
Check the link on the upper right often as it changes a lot. If you ever see anything outdated, please let me know so I can update it. (I get busy, sigh!) So for now, if you can’t wait for me to get my own videos posted here, please feel free to participate in the online classes or contact me for one on one lessons. This is what I really want to do… sit right next to you and teach you so you don’t have to hack around like I did.
Give someone a Digital Scrapbook and they have one scrapbook to look at. Teach someone how to Digital Scrapbook and they can Digitally Scrapbook for a lifetime.
So what is Digital Scrapbooking? Wikipedia defines it as this…
The advent of scanners, desktop publishing, page layout programs, and advanced printing options make it relatively easy to create professional-looking layouts in digital form. The internet allows scrapbookers to self-publish their work. Scrapbooks that exist completely in digital image form are referred to as “digital scrapbooks” or “computer scrapbooks.”
A digital scrapbook layout that demonstrates the use of numerous digital “materials”. While some people prefer the physicality of the actual artifacts they paste onto the pages of books, the digital scrapbooking hobby has grown in popularity in recent years. Some of the advantages include a greater diversity of materials, less environmental impact, cost savings, the ability to share finished pages more readily on the internet, and the use of image editing software to experiment with manipulating page elements in multiple ways without making permanent adjustments. A traditional scrapbook layout may employ a background paper with a torn edge. While a physical page can only be torn once and never restored, a digital paper can be torn and untorn with ease, allowing the scrapbooker to try out different looks without wasting supplies. When you create a digital layout, you do it in much the same way that you would a traditional layout, in that you layer papers and elements on top of one another. Each paper, photo, or embellishment exists on its own layer in your document, and you can reposition them at your discretion.Furthermore, digital scrapbooking is not limited to digital storage and display. Many digital scrappers print their finished layouts to be stored in scrapbook albums. Others have books professionally printed in hard bound books to be saved as keepsakes. Professional printing- and binding-services offer free software to create scrapbooks with professional layouts and individual layouting capabilities. Because of the integrated design and order workflow, real hardcover bounded books can be produced cost effectively.
